The rest of it — pages 2 to 7

About an hour for one focused pass through the rules, the dictation bank and the traps. Use it to guide practice — shorthand speed still comes only from dictation.

  3. 3Pitman rules that keep outlines readable at speed, and the court phrases to drill
  4. 4Case types, court words, recurring provisions, new criminal laws, Latin and spellings
  5. 5A 250-word essay frame, model outlines, safe facts and the letter formats

Keep it through your prep, not just the last week

Before every mockRun through the formulas, rules and facts on the pages, then sit the test.
Whenever a topic slipsThe important points for it are in one place — no hunting through books and notes.
In the final daysOne read, start to finish — with the page-by-page plan below.

How to revise with it, page by page

D-7 to D-5Pages 2–3 — the shorthand rules, the 45-minute transcription plan, and outlines for every court phrase.
D-4 to D-3Pages 4–6 — court vocabulary, one essay, one letter, the grammar table and ten lines of translation each way.
D-2Shorthand at exam speed with a full 45-minute transcription, scored the way the notice scores it.
D-1Page 7 — the traps, the self-test and the venue documents, then page 1 once more.

Don't read it like a textbook. Read → close → recall → repeat.

What went into these seven pages

Written from the primary documents, not from other people's notes:

  • The High Court of Delhi vacancy notice dated 02.09.2026 — the four stages, the marks, the mistake limits and deductions, the pass marks and the tie-break order.
  • Standard Delhi High Court order language and case-type abbreviations — the English that steno passages are drawn from.
  • Every point checked by two independent AI reviewers (ChatGPT and DeepSeek); points they flagged were rewritten until both passed them.

Every rule and figure is tied to the notice it comes from.

Questions

Can I see it before I buy?

Yes. Page 1 is free to read in full at the top of this page — no sign-in, no payment. Every other page is shown beside it as a thumbnail, so you can see exactly how much there is before you pay for it.

Is it only for the last week before the exam?

No. It is a cheatsheet of the important points, formulas and facts. Keep it on your phone and use it all through your preparation: before a mock, when a topic slips, and for one full read in the final days.

How do I get it after paying?

It's yours the moment the payment clears, and you come straight back to this page with Download and Read buttons. It stays in your ProSyllabus account.

Can I pay with UPI?

Yes — UPI, cards or netbanking through Razorpay. If you already have ProSyllabus credits, they are used instead and nothing is charged.

Is this an official High Court document?

No. It is a revision kit compiled by ProSyllabus from the High Court of Delhi notice dated 02.09.2026. Always check delhihighcourt.nic.in for later public notices.

Does it cover both SPA and PA?

Yes. The pattern is the same except the shorthand test — 110 wpm and 120 marks for SPA, 100 wpm and 110 marks for PA — and every page gives both where they differ.

Will it improve my shorthand speed?

No kit can — speed comes from dictation practice. What it does is stop you losing marks you have already earned: how mistakes are counted, how to use the 45 minutes, and the court phrases worth an outline.

When is the 2026 examination?

Not yet fixed. The notice says the date, time and venue will be announced later through a public notice on the High Court website. Applications close on 5 October 2026 at 11 pm.

What if it does not help me?

Page 1 is on this page in full, free, before you pay anything — including the merit-list arithmetic and the notice at a glance. Read it and decide. It is the same page you would get.

What does this kit cover?

Seven pages as a quick course, laid out by the notice's own marks: the typing and shorthand rules and scoring maths, Pitman theory and the court phrases to outline, court vocabulary, the essay and letter formats, grammar and translation, and the interview. Every point was checked by two independent AI reviewers; what they flagged was rewritten until both passed it.
